Golden Teddy

Hello everyone!!! Please meet my newest teddy, a golden bear made of imported 3/8" synthetic! This little guy is a tad under 5 inches sitting, and he is filled with polyfill and weights to give him that big grizzly feel! I took a lot of time to scissor sculpt the details on his face, as well as craft him a shiny black nose made of clay. He is 5 way jointed and has black leather paw pads that were then sculpted by me just using a needle and thread. Its been so much fun creating this guy, and he will be the last bear of the summer for me, it's time to get back and focus again on school work. Him and his little brother "Beddy Teddy" will be heading off to their new homes this week; I will miss having all of the bears I made around but each one has been a great learning experience I will never let go of. I hope you enjoy him as much as I have!
 Best wishes! - Heidi

  1. It is amazing to me that you have been doing this for such a short time. I know that you are still in school, but you have a real talent. I hope that no matter what you career path you choose you won't put down your needle and thread.

  2. Thank you so much Joanne, I wouldn't have known about any of the techniques like pulled toes, scissor sculpting and shading without your help! I am always referring to your website when I am at a loss of how to do something; you are truely a wonderful teacher! I plan on making bears for a long time to come; I love giving to people and being able to make them smile. Monday I am going to the post office to ship your bear to you :), I hope he makes it to you safely!

  3. Dear Heidi, I received Golden Teddy today in the mail. I can not tell you how thrilled and honored that you would send this bear to me. I really love him, really. He is so well made and so well designed. You really have a talent, and if I have in anyway inspired you with my techniques I am beyond happy.
He will stay with me always, and as a matter of fact he is the perfect size for traveling, so I think he will become my companion.
Thank you so much for all the gifts, I love his little necklace and the seahorse is going in my workroom.
